Work Work Work Work Work…

Today has been very stimulating!

Lovely company in the form of three interns plus Holly, and so lots of creative business chat and corset geekery discussed.

Plus, we’ve been playing with a lot of lace!

This Blossom underbust has been inspired by Australian plant-life, as a reflection of the client's home country. I'm loving these colours... I'd probably have never chosen them if not for the client's suggestion, but now I think they're amongst my favourite shades of lace blossoms so far!

This is Amethyst, but with extra lace added to the hips. She’s going to the owner of Bloom (http://www.sparklewren.co.uk/blog/presenting-bloom-a-falling-blossoms-curated-collection-corset/16/12/2015), which is wonderful as she actually began life as her toile. These days we make some of our “uber-toiles” at our own expense, so that they function both as a fitting tool for the client and as a new studio sample for us (an excuse to play with embellishment!). I just love this combination of silk, stone, lace and rose-gold.

We also progressed on pattering and toiles for bespoke clients, plus embellishment for a new design, plus hand-quilting the hip gores for the Blossom underbust corset. A good productive day, my favourite kind.
